What is Rotary?
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.
-
Founded in 1905, Rotary is the world’s first service organization. Our motto is “Service Above Self.” Rotary has 1.2 million members and more than 31,000 clubs in 166 countries.
-
Rotary members meet weekly for fellowship and interesting, informative programs.
-
Rotary clubs are autonomous and determine their own service projects based on local and international needs and the interests and abilities of their members.
-
Rotarians plan and execute various humanitarian, educational and cultural programs.
-
Rotary membership represents a cross-section of local business and professional leaders.
The Rotary Club of Des Peres
The Rotary Club of Des Peres meets every Thursday at 7:00 a.m. at the Missouri Athletic Club West, 1777 Des Peres Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63131, 314-539-4444. Members:
- Enjoy fellowship and networking with leaders and professionals in their community.
- Attend Rotary meetings anywhere in the metro area, in the US, or throughout the world. This is a great way to increase professional contacts locally, nationally, or internationally--and make new friends.
- Become part of a worldwide network of Rotarians promoting international studies, cultural exchanges, and humanitarian projects both in the local community and around the world.
- Have fun! Members enjoy fellowship at meetings and at club social events. They, their families and friends look forward to the club’s installation dinners, holiday parties, and Chinese New Year celebrations, as well as special events such as bus trips to Mizzou football games, wine and beer tastings, and more.
