1969 was a banner year for Lou Bopp—that was the year he married Linda, joined the family business and became a Rotarian.

 

Lou and Linda live in Kirkwood. They are the parents of Louis Bopp III, Christi Bopp and Sue Bopp Roth. They enjoy spoiling their granddaughters, Alyssa and Nicole, Sue and Chris Roth’s children.

 

Lou is part of the third generation running the family business, Bopp Chapel, the oldest business in the Kirkwood and Webster Groves area. Even the fourth generation is involved—daughter Christi Bopp and son-in-law Chris Roth are part of the family business. Lou says Bopp Chapel is dedicated to providing warm, caring and personal service to families in times of great sorrow.

 

Lou was a member of the Crestwood (now Crestwood-Sunset Hills) Rotary Club from 1969 until the early 80s. He served as president from July 1972 to June 1973. He’s a charter member of the Des Peres club. Lou says he enjoys starting Thursday mornings with his Rotary friends.
