How can someone be both new to and experienced in Rotary at the same time? Just ask Jeff Johnston, and he’ll give you the answer. Jeff first joined Rotary in September 2005, but he has a long history with Rotary. His father has been a Rotarian for 40+ years in Vandalia, IL, and has held numerous leadership positions. Jeff’s mother has been a member of Rotary for over 25 years and currently serves as assistant governor in District 6490 in east central Illinois. Jeff doesn’t remember a time when he was growing up that there wasn’t an exchange student, typically from Central or South America, living in the Johnston home.

He jumped right in to active participation in the Des Peres club, first serving as a sergeant-at-arms and now as chair of the program committee. Jeff is always looking for great program ideas, so don’t hesitate to call or send him an email with your suggestions.

Jeff and his wife, Amy, are both from Vandalia and were high school sweethearts. They have been married almost 15 years and are the proud parents of Aubrey, Colin, and Halle. The family currently lives in Chesterfield and enjoys snow skiing and travel.

Jeff is the registered principal and managing director of the Prudential Financial office in Creve Coeur. Prudential Financial offers a full range of investment and insurance options for both individuals and businesses. Jeff is particularly proud of the company’s slogan, Growing and Protecting Your Wealth®.

Jeff says his greatest challenge is recruit talented people to become financial advisors. In the past two years, 18 financial advisors retired, and he wants to replace them with highly qualified professionals. If you know of anyone who has the qualifications or the interest to be a financial advisor, Jeff would like to hear from you. He knows fellow Rotarians often provide the best business networking leads.
